Baroregulation of Vasopressin Secretion (2) 5.12 Minor fluctuations in blood pressure appear to have very little effect on plasma vasopressin concentration. A fall in blood pressure of ten per cent or more must be attained before a significant rise in vasopressin is achieved. A forty per cent reduction in pressure, however, produces plasma vasopressin levels approximately one hundred times greater than the normal basal concentrations.
